What are technicians checking on this visit? We have a thorough checklist which includes the following:
- Outdoor coil will be inspected for cleanliness and heat transfer
- Outdoor and indoor fans will be inspected
- Exposed ductwork will be checked for air leaks and insure there aren’t any crimped ducts depriving air to any areas.
- Thermostats will be checked and calibrated if needed
- Motors and bearings will be tested as needed
- Internal Controls and safeties will be tested
- Verify and adjust gas pressure
- Test ignition system and controls
- Inspect heat exchanger
- Tighten all electrical connections
- Test carbon monoxide levels
- Drains will be inspected and cleared, if needed
- Air Filters will be replaced as needed
- Crankcase heater will be checked for proper operation when applicable
- Electrical components and unit wiring will be inspected
- Humidifier operation will be checked when applicable
Lastly, but most importantly our technician will review anything he finds and advise the homeowner on any abnormal conditions. We always provide a full report of our findings and we won’t make any unauthorized repairs without your permission.
